The introduction of grain legumes into a new land is often preceded by rhizobium strain selection for the prevalling environmental conditions, which may not necessarily select strains inducing improves physiological atributes to the symbiosis. Optimal plant growth and seed yield of grain legumes depending on biological nitrogen fixation are a result of several plant/rhizobium interactions with affect the rate and furation of processes related to both carbon and nitrogen metabolism as well as their utilization and distribution in the plant. |
